Thank you to Dr. Jonathan Reed, Ms. Robin Bell, and Dr. Curtis Curry for supporting our Professional Development Day this past weekend. We had great turnout for an event that had to be held virtually and we appreciate our speakers as well as our members who attended.
Please note that we always welcome the opportunity to support our members who are willing deliver presentations and webinars so please let us know if you would like to do a webinar or presentation.
Earning PDUs is a necessary aspect of maintaining your PMI certification. To that end, we have instituted a monthly Webinar Spotlight to direct you to webinar content that we think is specifically relevant to the Space Coast and that you can access free of charge.
The University Health Network (UHN) in Toronto, Ontario, Canada wanted to ensure that patients who are discharged from hospitals receive the necessary support for a successful recovery. In 2014, UHN embarked on a 3-year, CA$955,000 quality improvement initiative which included creating a standardized electronic Discharge Summary for UHN’s 35,000 annual inpatients, detailing their hospital experience and requirements for ongoing care. The program finished on schedule and under budget and was a winner of the 2018 PMI Award for Project Excellence. Learn about this awarded program’s challenges, best practices, and lessons learned in this webinar.

One of the most consistent concerns expressed to us by professionals and teams around the world is this: We don’t have enough time!
The stress of having too much to do and not enough time to do it is overwhelming. In this interactive keynote, Andy shares practical lessons to help you get a better handle on what it takes to more successfully manage your time and commitments. Topics include understanding the role of taking care of yourself (including getting more sleep and exercise), factors that drive procrastination (and strategies to overcome them that will help you manage your time and projects), ways to say No without saying "No", and strategies to manage interruptions.
Andy shares specific strategies to help you get more control over your time with less things falling through the cracks, allowing you to focus on the most important priorities. You will leave with a helpful list of books and other resources to continue the learning after the session.
Registration is required. We will send a link to the secure Zoom meeting the afternoon of the event. If for any reason you don't receive the link by 5:30 PM the day of the event, please email email@example.com for assistance.
