🌟 Volunteer Spotlight Series: Meet Moses Maxi
Every two weeks we'll introduce you to one of the amazing volunteers helping make PMI Space Coast the vibrant community it is today.
This week we're excited to spotlight Moses Maxi.
If you've read one of our recent World Cup articles, chances are you've already experienced Moses's unique writing style.
Unlike most project management writers, Moses doesn't simply explain project concepts.
He tells stories.
Adventure stories.
Sports stories.
Stories inspired by anime, resilience, leadership, and the determination to keep improving.
Â
"I've always loved writing adventure novels that inspire people," Moses says. "I realized I could combine project management with sports, health and wellness, and the things I genuinely enjoy—and it turned out people really connected with it."
That curiosity doesn't stop with football.
Moses regularly pushes himself outside his comfort zone, diving into topics like SpaceX, Blue Origin, and NASA's Artemis II mission.
"Writing about Artemis II was pure joy," he shared. "Learning what it takes for four astronauts to leave Earth, travel around the Moon, and return safely gave me an entirely new appreciation for teamwork, planning, and innovation."
Perhaps what Moses enjoys most about volunteering isn't simply writing articles—it's discovering talents he didn't know he had.
"The Communications team has been incredibly encouraging," he says. "My editor and our VP of Communications helped me recognize skills I never realized I possessed. They've helped build my confidence beyond my background in biotech, pharmaceuticals, and medical devices."
Like every great project, each article goes through multiple iterations.
"The writing process taught me that great work doesn't happen in one draft," Moses explains. "Receiving feedback, refining ideas, and producing something that benefits not only me but the PMI community has been incredibly rewarding."
For members thinking about volunteering, his advice is simple:
"Do it. This chapter offers incredible opportunities to learn about technology, aerospace, sustainability, innovation, and project management from professionals across many industries. You'll leave with new skills, new relationships, and a much broader perspective."
We're grateful to have Moses on our Communications Team, where his creativity, curiosity, and enthusiasm continue inspiring readers every week.
Thank you, Moses, for everything you contribute to PMI Space Coast!
