As project managers we yield a multitude of talents because we hold positions that can be somewhat ambiguous at times. Depending on the company, the maturity of project management at your organization or the title you hold, your bag of tricks can be vast and varied. While communication and having a “no fear” attitude are required regardless, there is one talent that cannot be understated and that is Influence. In every industry and in every facet of business, your ability to influence is your ability to get the job done. By increasing your influencing skills, you double down on your political capital and gain the traction you need to drive projects to successful, on-time closure.
