April 20th Volunteer for the Superhero 5K
Whether you have a Lasso of Truth or Magical Wings on your footwear, join us for the 2024 Superhero 5K and One-Mile Fun Run on Saturday, April 20, 2024, at The Avenue Viera, in Viera, Florida. The event, sponsored by the Friends of Children of Brevard, starts with the One-Mile Fun Run at 7:30 am, followed by the 5K race at 8:00 am. All ages and abilities are welcome. Medals will be given to all finishers.
This year's theme is "Wonder Women," celebrating strength, and justice for foster children as inspired by Wonder Woman. The event raises awareness about foster care and adoption, while highlighting the stories of famous superheroes like Spiderman, Superman, Batman, and others, who were adopted into loving families. The event's mission is to bring hope and a typical childhood experience to over 1,000 foster children in Brevard County who have suffered from child abuse.
