Katya Hughes is a dynamic thought leader in business operations with a proven record of driving operational excellence across the aerospace and technology sectors. Her extensive experience includes senior leadership roles at both global corporations and innovative startups.
Katya has served as Director of Operational Excellence for a $1B division at Honeywell Aerospace, led the Sustainment PMO and Product Support department at Northrop Grumman, and held Head of Business Operations positions at Virgin Galactic and BRPH.
A seasoned project leader, Katya specializes in turning around complex, high-stakes initiatives by applying the principles of PMP and Lean Six Sigma. Over the past two decades, she has helped major aerospace organizations restore control, stakeholder confidence, and on-time delivery in their most challenging programs.
She holds multiple professional certifications — including PMP, Six Sigma Lean Expert, and Green Belt — and earned an M.S. in Information Technology, a B.B.A. in Management, a Graduate Certificate in Space Operations from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, and a Financial Accounting Certificate from Harvard Business School.
